no 2nd gear

Ok I had the trans rebuilt and it shifted fine for a few miles. Once the trans warmed up it shifts from 1st to 3rd. Then while driving
the car home the servo comes loose and leaks fluid. NO SNAPRING!
So I put in a new billet servo and new snapring in. I have 2nd gear until the trans warmsup. Now it goes from 1st to 3rd again.What gives. Could the new band be bad already from a loose servo? Any help would be appreciated.

Something for you to try. Put the shifter in manual 2nd. That will keet the VB from skipping the shift. If there is no 2nd there I would say you have burned the band.
