OK, I have a Weld wheel on the rear. 15x8 with a 3,5bs. Tire is A BFG DR that is a 275-60/15. I have a slight rub in the right rear on the outside of the tire on decent size dips in the road. Im NOT going to roll any fender lips on the car. I have air bags in the car, but to keep the car from rubbing on these dips, I cant STAND the bounce feel the bags bring......Takes like 12-14lbs.....

Sooooo, whats the next size down. Im not going with a DR again, just a plain Radial TA. Would a shorter tire suffice, like the 50 series 275, or do i need to go to a 255-60? Whats your thoughts? New springs too maybe? Its a low-ish mileage car, but Im sure it doesnt matter THAT much. Its still 19 years old, right? Whats your opinion. Looking at the picture, you can tell it doesnt sag that badly in the rear, and the pic it has 4 or 5 lbs of air in the bags, just enough to keep them inflated.

Ok, I guess its possible, but hard to believe.........

NOBODY had a 275-60R15 that rubbed and went down ONE tire size ever???

I will give this one more chance at an answer, then let it go by the wayside.....

255/60R15 or 275/50R15. The 255s are taller and skinnier than the 275/50s. I get taller springs. You might want to try Moog CC627 cargo springs with the stock insulators still in there. The 275/60s should fit pretty good then. I run 28x10.5 slicks on 15x8s with no air bags and no problems that way. Click for a pic. :)

I ran 275/50 nito dr with spacer on gn rims, now I run 265/50 15 dunlop gt from tirerack with no spacer on the same stock rim minus the spacer looks almost as sinister as the dr tires but at $70 plus ship per tire they are worth every penny

the look is the same on the sidewall and they seem to grip very well for a radial tire and I run 26-28 psi couldnt have asked for any more.
on the front Im running bfg ta 235/60 just in case you were wondering
:D
