Here's a little teaser...new wheels came in, test fit wheels and tires ;)

Fronts: Weld xxx 4"x15" (1.75" BS) w/MT Sportsman S/R 26x6.00-15
Rear: Weld xxx 9"x15" (5.5" BS) w/MT ET Street DR's 295/55-R15 (DR replacement for the ET Drag 28"x10.5")

Rear tires are under the fender and are only close on the front bottom side of the inner fender (inside edge of tire). A couple thumps with the rubber hammer and they are good to go. Everywhere else ther is about 1" or more clearance. Will get some better pics later to show.

oh yeah...the last pic is my 255/50-16 M/T DR's next to the 295/55-16 M/T DR's if you didn't already figure it out

Looks good! I wonder where the trade off is in power..did you have trouble launching on the 255's?

LOL...NO  never spun the tires at the track even at 12 psi off the trans brake w/1.53 60ft. Just wanted something different more than anything...you will see the whole package this weekend if all goes well, I'm no straying from the original look too much ;)

If I could afford it I would mini tub it and go with 325's

Ok...new wheels and tires are done and on the car

Fronts: Weld Vitesse RT Series 4"x15" (1.75" BS) w/MT Sportsman S/R 26x6.00-15
Rear: Weld Vitesse RT Series 9"x15" (5.5" BS) w/MT ET Street DR's 295/55-R15

These were custom made and currently the only set in the WORLD

I'm not sure what I will do for center caps...my stock WS6 fit but not sure how secure they will be...I need to make sure they won't fall off 1st. Everything is cleaned up and painted nicely since brakes and rotors are more visible.

I am VERY happy with the results...I wanted to retain the gold theme (the centers are gold anodized) but update to a more modern racing look ;)

Drove the car to and from OC MD a couple weeks ago (150 miles each way) and cruised around fro 4 days for the 2010 Spring Cruisin' OC with no issues...caps held firm

:DThose wheels really look good. Where did you get them at? Would like a set for mine.

I have the same ones for my black and chrome Limited. Black anodized center instead of the gold. They look sharp. ;)

Post some pic's in the wheel & tire section thread...would love to see them.

Weld wouldn't build/anodize them gold so I had to disassemble them and do it myself

Those look Great! Does WELD still make those in KC? I know they were bought out then came back. That is a nice factory they built across from the old LEEDS PLANT (GM PLANT-some cool big block Novas rolled out of there).

Went by there the other day on some business there were quite a few cars in the parking lot. Hope they are making those wheels there and not somewhere else, like out of the US? They have built some of the strongest wheels you can buy.

Thanks...Yes still in KC...family run too I belive and very nice people. I ordered them through Jim's Racing Tires in Baltimore Jim's Racing Tires & Speed Equipment he is the 2nd or 3rd largest distributors of Weld wheels in the country and one hell of a guy to deal with. The folks at Weld all know him quite well as they talkt to hiim a couple times a day.
