The one we want is the universal unit I believe, but I am a dipshit so take that with a grain of salt.

Best answer I can give is maybe. I'd take it to a parts store and compare it to one for a 231.

Yes

I took the starter off a 1983 Buick 231, ran it on my 67 Oddfire 225, and then swapped it onto my current 1978 231 turbo engine.
