I installed a new oil pressure sending unit from O'Reilly's a couple of weeks ago. My old one was leaking. A few days ago, I pulled in the garage and I was still in drive with the brake on. I noticed the oil light on. Long story short, ended up changing oil to make sure it hadn't been diluted with gas. The oil light still flickers on and off when the car is hot and idling in gear. My Autometer oil pressure gauge is reading about 24 lbs. I'm thinking this unit is defective. Someone on this board said that the stock oil light comes on at ~4 lbs.
I know some of the parts you buy at the auto parts stores are kinda junky, but has anyone experienced this before? I'm going to change it out tomorrow and see if the new one shows the same thing.

Well, bought another oil pressure sending unit from O'Reilly's (they are really close to where I live), and that was the problem. The oil light doesn't come on anymore when idling, hot, and in drive. :)
