Yea they do that here in G'ville all the time. This is a national track that runs NHRA events so there is a long shut down area for fuelers with three turn offs back to the timing station. I always shut down at the lights, brake lightly to turn at the first one and the loosers have to do a flyby then brake hard and get to the timing station ahead of me. I know its coming and just prepare for it. If I can get the left lane I do because the turn off is to the right so I just pull in behind them.
Just stupid but "you can't fix stupid".
The Camaro is a fun daily driver but they are expensive to make fast.
