Finally got to take the car to the track with the new ta6265 dbb turbo. It ran an 11.1 and 11.0 @ 126. The car couldn't take anything over a 2 psi launch with the 255-60-15 drag radials. The best 60 ft was a 1.7, I tried a 6 psi launch and it blew the tires off. Time to step up to some 275-60s and a big rear sway bar. Couldn't make anymore runs due to the track officials booting me for no cage.

What pressure in the radials? It takes some experimenting to get the proper PSI. I know a person who got best results around 20-22lbs.

Awesome! Consider what you coulda gotten if you had some time to do the runs and tune it! What kinda tires are the ones you ran?

I'm currently running the mickey thompson 255-60-15 drag radials. I ran 18 psi in them for all three runs. Time to step up to the 275-60s, but i'll need a spacer to keep them from rubbing the frame.

275/60 should clear fine if you still have your stock aluminum drums. what wheels you running?

I'm running 15x8 summit stars, with the 255/60s I can't even fit my finger between the frame and tire. I should be good with the spacers.

Nice pass....hmm should have known my man OTTO was part of your combo....LOL...He's the best!!!! Mayb we will meet at the shop one day... :D

Nice mph gain from 1/8 to 1/4.

I run the MT ET Street radial (255-60/15) at 21-22# and I can get 1.5x 60' with 5# launch off the foot brake. I went with that size because the 275 would rub on my car.

fyi
his 101.1 1/8 and trap 126 is typical of what it should be
typical 1/8th to 1/4 gain is ... 1/8 mph x 1.25 , for those that dont math well if 1/8mi is 100 you should expect 125 mph in the 1/4 unless theres something wrong with the tune

and FWIW 126 could've netted a 10.8 timeslip, his next time out on stickier tires should show that

Thanks, I also have to upgrade my fuel system this winter. I couldn't get the AFR below 11.5 so I had to run very conservative timing and boost.
