i just picked this up for 1000 bucks, its fully loaded and no rust. along with the car he also gave me its 10 disk cd changer, a new hood, 6 or 7 spair sets of oem floor mats, two trunk mats, custom t top covers, and a new tranny. im dieing to get all of his OEM 442 parts.

I would think a nice candidate for a motor swap. LS1, SBC, etc. I new a guy that put a 455 in one.

Oh yeah, do a heads/cam LS1 swap with a six speed. Mini tub it and do a 4" cowl. Paint it black and get some Fikse rims with 17X11 out back. Lower it. Black leather interior with buckets ot of a vette. Oh and a 12 bolt rear end, or at least a good 8.5".

Do it. Do it.

they came stock with g87 8.5 inch rears with 3.73 rear gears, that car is a posi i beleve.

dont know about 700, but the car is worth more than 1000 in parts.

i had someone give me a 84 hurst olds that was a basket case that didnt even run and was all rusted up and i sold parts off of it for over 2000 total then the junkyard gave me 50 bucks for what was left.

the guy i baught it from has another hard top in about the same shape for 800 bucks and hes got a mint t top 442 for 5000 (3500 for me)

That's sweet! Congratulations what are your plans for it?

And come on you guys put an Olds in it as long as you can legally (smog wise). Put a Chevy in it... I hope you aren't the same guys complaining about Chevy swaps into GN / Regal or about the new Chevy powered GTO. This is no GN but in all respects is Olds's variation of the Muscle Car back then.

I meant don't put a Chevy in it. Yeah I know LS1's are great and all. Go to a few Hot Rod shows and you will see how original a thought it is to put a small block Chevy in any thing, even the new LS1.

I always liked that color combo. Looks like a H/O spoiler on the back too. Car seem to be loaded full boat with the fender monitors on it. Even though they had the same HP rating as the Monte SS, they could never keep up with one. Good luck!
