Never, EVER buy a PROSCAN anything

They suck. When it breaks, and it will, they won't fix it.

I bought a Proscan 26" TV back in October 2008 at Circuit City. It has a dead pixel and the built-in DVD player failed. They told me to call Circuit City, who told me to call them. I understand Circuit City's position - it's a 12-month manufacturer's warranty - but the manufacturer won't fix it.

PROSCAN sucks, plain and simple.

I guess I should be happy it works at all. What kills me is that there were better brand TVs for the same price, but the wife had to have the DVD player :rolleyes:

About all you can do at this point, short of small claims court, is file a report with the Better Business Bureau. I would highly suggest doing it, too. They get enough reports then Attorney Generals start looking at class action lawsuits on behalf of the consumer. As an individual it's hard to get something done, but when we band together...
