need help replacing stock oil cooler lines w/ braided ss

i want to run new braided ss hose from the stock filter adapter to an aftermarket cooler. based on some searching, i think the adapter size is 3/4-18. can anyone verify this? if this is the correct # i would need something like this then, right? http://store.summitracing.com/eproduct.asp?N=120+4294924496+4294924493+300068 a NPT to AN adapter. this doesnt have an 18 anywhere, does that matter? none of the adapters listed on summit's site have 3/4-#. its just one number sizes. am i looking at the right adapters?

If you pull the flared pipe adapter out of the oil cooler adapter itself, I believe it's a 1/2" NPT female fitting for it.

Easy to adapt the 1/2" NPT cooler size to -AN fittings for your new cooler hose.

so the 1/2" NPT to 8AN (37º flare) just screwed right in to the adapter? if thats the case, that is exactly what i needed to know. also why did you switch from 90 to 45 degree elbows? clearance issues? thanks!

Yes, clearance issues, so I used the 45º adapters.

I finally decided Not to use a separate oil cooler, and just looped the in/out lines (Do NOT ever plug the female threads in the adapter, that would block all oil flow to the engine!!).
