Need Heat/ Heater, hose, valve questions

The hoses are not hooked up to the heater core at the fire wall. Was like this when I bought it. It's getting colder now and I would like to hook up everything to have heat. Which hoses go to where from the firewall ? Which one does the heater valve go to ? Do you need the heater valve ?? Also, the heater motor itself is not working, is this a bad fuse problem ?? I'd appreciate any help and pictures and or diagrams would also be great !! Please help.....It's getting colder here in the North East !! Thanks!! Darrell.

The hose closest to the center of the car goes to the valve, and the hose closest to the pass.side fender goes to the steel tube which runs along the passenger side valve cover beside the intake manifold.
I bet your heater core has a leak which is probably why it was disconnected.
