My 78 Malibu 10.61 @126

Thanks, Dusty.

The PTC converter sure seems to be working. We're collecting data and will re-address whether it needs a tune-up.

You guys are great!

With that extra power it might need an adjustment. When you get some data just let me know if you need anything.

I never got around to showing the finished product since I was thrashing to get the car ready for opening day at Woodburn Drag Strip...

Here it is!!! Finished product! Thanks again for letting me share. This was a lot of work, but fun and rewarding. Hope you guys enjoyed the pics and write-up.

After shorting out a few issues we made it back up to woodburn dragstrip for some test and tune. This is a 10.20 @130.6, 1.42 60' time...had three identical runs down to the thousand decimal places at three different times of day...doesn't get any better than that for an ol bracket car!

Haven't posted in a while....

New motor for 2011 NHRA Div 6 season....

Merlin III block, 4.50 bore.
Scat 4.25 crank, 6.385 rods.
AFR 345 heads, w/CNC combustion chambers.
2.30/1.88
SRP pistons, 13.5:1 CR
Comp SR 272/280 @.050, .748/.710, 110 lsa.
Crower SR lifters
Edel Vic 2807 intake
Pro Sys 1050 dominator.
GZMS vacuum pump.

Got the weight of the car down to approximately 2800 # by adding a TRZ motorsports front suspension with strange DA coilovers and strange pro brakes. Also went to all lexan except front windshield. And fiberglass rear decklid.

Looking for a 9.40 this coming year. Will post up some results.

(I know...I know....this is just a Pro Class bracket car...)
