LTD on Mecum

I recorded the Mecum auction yesterday and it was funny and pathetic that ALL the announcers are so misinformed about our cars. When the 87 LTD T-type crossed the block, they all said "that's can't be intercooled... only Grand Nationals were intercooled so these all have less horsepower". You could see the air dam and hood bulge on that car so it was obvious what it was. It makes you wonder when they talk "as experts" about any other car, if they are just as full of sh_t on what they say about those.

There a lot of "experts" on everything that don't know jack shit, they are just good bullshitters.

For real. Everybody knows the Limited's were made for upper level FBI agents and came equipped with twin turbo V8's.

They can tell you the factory part number of an intake manifold gasket for a mustangcamarovette though....cars I want to see or hear about get little if any attention, yet they salivate over a small block vette or____ colored Camaro with original dirt on the gas cap.:wtf:

You have to admit that it'd be pretty difficult so sound like an "expert" of every car that crosses the block of a big auction. That said, all of these guys have comfort zone cars, so they could spend just a little time brushing up on some the cars they weren't too familiar with.

Regards,
John

Since they know ahead what cars they will be seeing they at least should brush up on the one's they don't know much about. That's what a professional should do.
