Hi

I just freshened trans with a ck rebuild kit and shift kit.
Got in car and took pressure reading on jack stands.

1 240 240 175

Trans was rebuild a few years back by local guy.Had transgo
shift kit 10 vane pump with harden pump rings and high rev
kit.I freshed because od was slipping.

Did you out in a different slide spring?

I never took the pump apart.I took pressure reading
before freshing and thought were ok.But I didn't check
them at high rpm before.This my be why it never shifted
right.I've been doeing some seaching think its probley the
pump slide spring.Took for drive shifts good at part throttle
but pressure never goes over 180 at higher rpm and throttle.
Trans only had 5000 miles on rebuild so I thought pump
would be ok.Should have took pump apart and checked.
Will have to now.Thanks

Took trans back out and took pump apart.
Slide springs are fine but pump mating
surfaces scored pretty good.Guess I well
order a new pump monday.

Is there anything else that can cause this?

Its possible the trans vb has the wrong line bias valve in it.

BR Valvebody Spring Specs

These show the Vbody Spring Specs but not Valve Specs. Someone may know or have them. #318 is Line Bias valve.

Checked line bias valve same one thats in
ck shift kit pictures.Ordered new pump maybe
have by weekend.Will install and see what happens.
