limitations of factory fuel pump

Does anyone know what the ball park horsepowr limitations are for a factory fuel pump from an 89 TTA?

I just found out that this pump is a direct replacement for my factory pump in my 89 Sunbird GT!

350-400 hp..why not use a walbro 307 or 340.Theyre only 100 bucks and will support 550-600 hp..more than you'll ever make.

Because 350-400 hp is WAY more than this little motor will ever produce! My turbo is only good till just over 400 hp anyway. Besides, if the AutoZone unit ever goes bad, I can drive down the block to get it replaced.

Then again, it is a PITA to change these things out. How reliable are the Walbro pumps?

Walbro pump..extremely reliable.Autozone pump..dunno..We're not talking GM..Ohh yea..the filter ..well ya know..
