The last couple pictures show the new G-box from David Lemmond that gives you a wide range of IC adjustments for the upper control arms while also replacing the crappy factory piece with a much stronger one.

For some reason yours looks simpler than most for a 25.3. Normally they look like a jungle gym of bars under the floor pan, but yours is very simple. Is that all that's required for a floor structure? If so, I may go ahead with everything but the funny car cage. I really like how simple the rear section of the car is also. Got any pics of how the rear downbars and braces join under the package tray.

This is all that's required and we went overboard on the rear framerails which aren't required in a 25.3 full frame car. My goal is not to crease the 1/4 panel any more:cool:

Most shops add a lot of x bracing under the floor boards which I feel isn't necessary. You do have to parallel the stock frame rails with the inner rails like I have here. The extra bar you see on the driver side from the stock frame to the inner rail is only for mounting the driver seat to the roll cage per NHRA rules.

Here it is before we put it in the car. The main cage ties into this as well as the g-box as you can see in the other pics. I dont have any pics of it without the rear firewall in place.

If we could travel back in time and have ASC attach it near the rear of the trans like an F-body we'd be in business. The GNX arm is too short.

No stock suspension car came with a weld in roll bar and coil over shocks too.
I know what you mean though.

Amazing what "stock" suspension radial racing has turned into..hell I remember when Cal qualified in the 32 field @ Orlando, and he was in the 9's..

It is crazy. I'm trying to keep mine as much stock type suspension as possible with the stock location springs and shocks. The shocks lower mounting point will need to be moved over a couple inches since the rim is so close to the shock.

I have learned there is no way for a car to fit 315's without moving alot of stuff. That's why I'm on 295/65's...I prefer the lower ride height vs the larger tire. Basically everything on the rear end has to be moved in towards the center. I know my car would have gone mid 4.70's as it was with the 8 point cage. I hope 4.50's now.

I remember when Stack went 4.98 and everyone was blown away. Now 4.60's are the norm. To even think Jackson went 4.40 at 178 with a true stock suspension car when compared to an O/L 10.5 car going 4.30's is mind blowing.

Lookin good Dusty.

You are absolutely correct about the amount of work it takes to fit 315s. Its even more difficult to sit the car down on them as we have found with my new project.

I need to get with you sometime about a couple of things concerning my new car but I cant find your cell number. PM it to me if you don't mind.

You coming up this weekend for the 10.5 and Mean Street action at Jackson and/or Holly Springs? Heard Stack and Chad Henderson are coming. Should be a big one.

I want the tire tucked into the fender so it would require a good bit of work to get the 315 on it. I don't want it sitting up like it used to. I have the room as far as the body and chassis goes but I'd have to narrow the rear end, move the control arm and shock mounts in, cut the axles....that's a lot of work for that extra tire. It looks like I'll need to run the 29.5x10.5S on all the local tracks. I can fit that tire OK with the current set-up. The radial is OK at Valdosta but these hot local tracks like the slick better. Valdosta is so good I think I could run 4.50's on any tire.

Henderson and Stack are going to Jackson then swinging by Holly Springs the day after. I have to work all weekend.
