Knock Sensor Gauge

I just installed a new Caspers Knock Sensor Gauge that opperates by green-yellow-red lights indicators. The guage is suppose to work by alerting you if knock occurs by flashing lights. However, all lights are on/visible. Does anyone know why the lights would all be on? Maybe a ground wire problem?

That's the type 2 gauge...backlit LED's. They turn off when you get knock and the only one that's lit will be much brighter.

Notice there is no center LED. Instead, it's inside, backlighting the rest of the LED's.

i just installed one myself, the lights are back lit on mine, but not ON.. I get one or two lights flicker when i first start up but thats it.. and i havent had any knock with the ALKY. my scan master registered .05 today and the first green light lit up.. so i figure its working.

IIRC I had the same issue, and it turns out the reset on mine wasn't working. So as soon as it received a signal from the ECM it would come on and stay on.

Ended up getting rid of it for the knock alarm. Much happier with it.
