Kirby Puckett dead at 45

Very sad. He was one of the greatest pure hitters of my childhood - perhaps THE greatest. He'll be greatly missed.

Kirby was one of those players that you routed for no matter what team was yours. Just a hard working quiet guy that did his job well and didn't try and project himself into any other forum. Baseball lost one of it's pure heroes, and we lost an icon.
