During a recent valve spring swap the cheap valve spring compressor I rented from Autozone slipped before I got the retainer locks all the way in. This created a nice gouge in one of my valve locks and I would like to replace the set with the damaged lock. The retainers and the locks are old school Kenne Bell items. I would like to use Comp Cams 601 valve locks as a replacement. Can anyone confirm or deny that the CC 601 locks will play nice with the Kenne Bell No Wiggle retainers? Based on the info from an old K-B catalog his locks were also heat treated stamped steel like the 601s.
