engine1.jpg Anyone see anything that isn't factory?

Pretty much - unless there is a hidden piece blackgn is asking about like Find Waldo.
That engine bay is rough. Wasn't hugged as a child much.

She's been sitting in a garage since 1993. Funning thing was it started right up. Fluids were change and oil pump primmed. It has one heck of a drivers side header exhaust but still idled decent.

Crazy.
I always say -they're finicky, not fragile.
My buddy just bought 2 total POS "barn finds" - sorta - really just neglected cars - an 86 & a 87.
Both basket cases.
But both engines started up.
He was happy as punch
However, I told him, starting is one thing - running, that's another.

The uppipe hose has been changed out and the boost control solenoid has an extra hose that shouldn't be there.

Good eye Earl. The plug wire seperators and possibly the wires themselves aren't stock either. Think this car is as close to stock that I have worked on other than one.

How do you know about the uppipe Earl?
It sorta looks like the stocker to me
Good catch on the sol mod valve though - hat tip

The stock hose if thin flimsy and too short to work. If you look at the pic form the PS you can see the Gates markings on it. The factory clamps are black too.

All the IC hoses had the orange inside layer that you can see on a side that's cut. Looks like they've all been swapped out. Probably when they put the non black clamps on too.

You guys are making fun. Hurts my feelings.:D Just you guys wait till I go thru this engine bay and restore it back to factory shine. Peice by peice.

I have a bone stock one that has not been cranked in 5 or 6 years I am going to try this weekend. Wish me luck...
