Is there a way to reset my IAC without a scan tool...or is that pretty much the only way...

The reason I ask...is because my idle seems real low....so much that when you first start it up it dies unless you give it a little gas...seems to be ok when warmed up....but still seems low to me...

You could check it to make sure it isn't stuck. Unscrew it and make sure the pintle is still spring loaded and moves in and out.
