Intake manifold gasket.

I'm having a problem finding a intake manifold gasket for 4.1. Everytime I buy one it's the all metal valley pan type. Is this an old design? I'm looking for the valley pan gasket with the paper bonded to the metal but can't seem to find one.

I've got a couple here like that. They are the style with no pass through for EGR. So that pressure and heat doesn't make it to the intake manifold or plenum area.

Right. But do they work and how well?
I know that the all metal gasket is thinner than the egr type.

The thickness isn't based on having an EGR hole or not. It just depends on whether or not is has the coating on both sides.

Ok, but is the lack of gasket thickness going to effect how well it's going to work?

It all depends on how your exact intake sits on your exact heads. The only way to know is to set it up there and look.
