I'm thinking about some 17's....which do you think would look good?

Wellllll, I need some work there.

My best is 1.52 but I average 1.61 :frown:

She likes to push through the brakes and I haven't quite found that sweet spot to have a good amount leave boost built and also keep her planted in the lights. I get excited and try to build it too quickly.

More seat time will correct it though.

Not bad. I've only been to the track with my 17's once and pulled low 1.6x's but after a good burnout I pulled a 1.54 on the foot brake. All on 20lbs of boost running high 11s/low 12s. The best I ran with 28x9x15 slicks and a trans brake was 1.50.

17" hook with the RIGHT TIRE and set up.

Yeah, I'm on the foot brake too. Consistant 10.7's @ 124.

RJ Renolds peddled her to a best of 10.53 @ 127 with 1.48 60' on the DR's. First time he was ever in the car.

I don't have a roll bar so they scold me and send me home when I go that fast, she has a LOT more in her........

Yea theres a stop sign and a cross street lol...I was in front of my buddies job at mickey shore stereo shop...hes the manager and didnt think the lil 6 would turn the drag radials without water lmao!!! I tested out the drag radials and new front brakes at the same time ;)

I can tell you one thing the mickeys are a dead hook...My goal is to run 10s on 17s one of these years,i got a long way to go... I say go with what you like be different 15s are like the ol stand by......10" wide wheels are too wide without a notch imo.....18s are too big if you wanna go 1/4 mile fast....Fill your wheel wells but buy lightweight wheels and do it with class....

Loving the 17" CCW's! There is a new wheel out from Weld that has caught my eye though!

I thought I posted this. That auto save thing works good.
I love this look. Is the frame notched or lips rolled? Whats the size and backspace of the wheels? I would like to run the same setup, but my car is lowered in the rear with eibach springs and I don't wanna have any issues.
The frame is not notched. 17x9.5 5.0" bs With the ride you see it does not rub at all. It has cargo springs in it, with stock springs and no bags it would rub if I hit a big dip in the road or something. It's hard to say if it will rub with stiffer but lower springs.
What is the width on those wheels?

That's getting it. I was pulling 1.5x 60' and running low 11's/high 10's. If the boost was turned up with the 17's I'm sure it will do it again.

Proportions & scale are not even close......... but 5 minutes alone with CS5 can help get an idea across.

Here is a pick of the newer Weld RTS wheels I really have taken a liking to. I think it would look pretty darn nice while staying on the light side.gmhtpprojectstiaarms.jpg

Thanks dude...I'll have to check that program out. I tried to use an on-line program where you could "try" different wheel on your car, but it made them all look really weird. Your quick job looks 10x better.

I like 17s too. I'd love to find a used set of those CCWs.. I put the ones in my sig pic on my Chevelle and I may sell those..

here you go!!!
