ignition control and coil with advance and rev limit knobs?

what the deal with this part? I have never seen one for sale at any of the performance vendors. There is one for sale on ebay, curious to whether anyone has used one, or knows about them. It has knobs and dials on it for timing retard or advance, and a rev limiter knob

Pretty sure those were used in Nascar. Not sure if it would be a good idea to use one on our cars. Someone here I am sure knows more. HTH

Yeah I saw that one too...

I agree with bsdlinux. From what I can tell in the pic, the rev limiter on that only went down to about 7K, not much use to me.
