Over this past weekend I replace my idler Arm with one purchased from Kirbans.
Fairly straight forward, although how far do you tighten the nut down to the stud that comes from the center link to idler arm connection. I s there a certain distance the stud should be showing ?
it is not a castle nut and there is no cotter pin, I don't want to over tighten and bind steering or have the nut come loose.

Any one ? I can post a pic of it installed or move this post into the steering/suspension forum, maybe that would be more
appropiate

The stud is tapered so the tighter you get it the better it will stay. No one in the industry I know of uses a torque wrench on them Usually they get an impact to tighten them and not worry about it.

Charlie,
Thank you, that's exactly what I did... used a impact, then I put on a 1/2" rachet and 18mm socket a reefed it again.
All the google searches and videos for other makes a models mostly showed a castle nut and a cotter pin. I didn't want
the dam thing coming loose, I will probably add some loc-tite on the nut for good measure.

Thanks again

Great idea, why didn't I think of that......
Thanks guys, I feel better now taking it for a cruze.
