help with power logger& plx wide band gauge

needing help with installing/connecting power logger to lap top. the files are on lap top just cant get passed the section where it asks for port #. system says canot get comm config and cant open serial port a have tried all three ports on laptop and nothing. any idias on what it could be? the green light from the power logger comes on when the ignition is on.

You should move this to the scam tool section, you'll get more action. Also what version windows are you running? Need different drivers for Vista or 7, check Full Throttle site. It took a while for me to get it working in 7.

i'm using windows 7. i think im not understanding the port. when asked for port i thought it would be the usb port on lap top i have 4 but was reading other tread they tried using port 16.

Once the pl program and drivers are installed, it should auto select the correct port.
