help- Voltage drops when a/c is turned on only

Hi all

I have a bad problem

The voltage drops down to 7/8 volts when the air conditioning is turned on. Why does it do this?

My alternator was bad initially- changed it out and noticed that when the a/c system is put on, the rpms drop and the voltage drops along with it substantially

Any ideas what would cause this? any help or advice appreciate gents

Compressor clutch is electrical, pusher fan is electrical - both draw a lot of amperage.

I would say bad ground somewhere. DOuble check and add some if needed.
