has anyone put a vacuum pump in thier car?

Hello everyone,

I have an 86GN and it was converted to vacuum brakes who knows when. the pedal was a brick so we put in an electric vacuum pump that ran the booster and some other misc things because of the cam we have in the engine. I saw that there are mechanical engine driven pumps for racing applications, and was wondering has anyone done this? i doubt they have a kit, but i saw kits for sb and bbc chevy ford mopar and pontiac. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

ssbc has a vacuum kit $250.00 summit carries them have one on my gn.it works fine. but I think hydroboost setups is the way to go!

Some of the 80's Buick and Chevy Deisel wagons used an electric vaccum assist pump. You can buy them directly from the parts store for less than $50. I believe 85 Buick Electra Wagon?
