Fuel Gauge

My fuel gauge is extremely inaccurate, is it hard to hook up a vdo fuel gauge in our cars? I want to put it under the radio in the dual gauge pod

Not difficult. But instead of hacking up the car, why don't you just grab the original stuff from a donor car.

Do you think my sender is bad, or my spring on the needle is messed up? I might do that, but I'd trust a new more...

Check the needle spring, but I would not rule out the sender. I wouldn't go adding unnecessary gauges to the car when you can fix a stock one and keep a clean looking interior. I know a guy who has gauge clusters in Levittown if you need one.

Senders go bad or become innacurrate on these cars often, esecially if you touch it at all when changing the fuel pump.....
