I bought this from the original owner in 1998 with 48k on the odo. Here is what I've done to it so far...

That is a quite unique restoration you have there, but looks very clean.
What is the electronic gauge for that is to the right of the steering column that's orange and red?

Thanks everyone. The paint on this is amazing. I've never seen a deeper black before, even from the factory. my friend who painted this did an outstanding job and I'm so thankful it took as long as it did. he stripped and painted it 4yrs ago and buffed it out just 2 mos ago, then left me to finish putting it back together. I spent 5 and 12hr days on this for about two weeks buttoning everything up. I still have a lot of bugs to work out, but by winter it will be completely done. The only thing I will save for and do later is a roll cage and GNX rear-end conversion.

The gauge you ask about is an air/fuel ratio gauge from Intellitronix, the company I bought all of the other gauges from. It's wired to a narrow band 02 welded onto the dump pipe.

Ah ok, that gauge conversion was very clean and with the custom tinted gauge covers, keeps them protected yet also keeps everything tidy & in place.
Outside of trimming the bezel on the left side of the gauge cluster where the factory instrument lights were, wouldn't of been easy for an average person that didn't know what the interior of a TR looked like to spot it wasn't there from the factory.
With slightly different arrangement of where the gauges sat, would someone be able to avoid trimming the bezel area and keep all the factory idiot lights?

You could keep the factory idiot lights there, you'd just have to find a different spot for the temp and voltage gauges. or, you could just not have gauges there at all and go with less. But, you could also do what I plan on, and wire up two led lights and put them somewhere else. I'm going to wire up a red leg for the brake and an orange one for the engine and then put them under my three led's that go to my gps speedo. Those are the lights to the left of my steering wheel. The led's I'm wiring up for the idiot lights are larger and will have labels for them. I just have to get some printed up.

Thanks for sharing this and for the info.
Nice to see other options out there for digital gauge setups for those that are swapping from analog clusters etc.

WOW! Totally sick paint job(y) can't begin to imagine the hrs spent on the whole project. I really like the blacked out lights and they still shine bright when on in that one pic or is that before tinting? my car hasn't seen the road since all we had was tinted plastic covers. Couldn't see shiz at night. How did you do that or where did you buy them?? Also can't wait to see what you do under the hood! Have you done anything or what's the plan? Thanks, Nate

Nice job with the entire project. Looks great. Where did you get the headlights? Do they come in different color temperatures? I'm hoping they are available around 5000K.
Thanks

Also, what did you use for your tail lights and front signal lights?
Thanks again
