combo in sig.....air temp that night was about 75

I ran those #'s check my sig of my stk turbo combo.......all you need is to improve the 60ft! I went 7.61 with slicks but at 87mph, I see a 7.50 and a 11.90 with stickies!;) You have the mph, a good 60ft will make your day!

Buy some better tires. MT DR's work very well. I went 12.30-12.40@106 running 18psi with a car last week at Cecil. 255's and a high 1.60 60'. Not much else.

going to order some tomorrow......

can't decide between 235's and 255's

Congrats.

Nitto DRs are good too. They last a long time and are very good in the rain. Buddy of mine went 1.55 60' on a set of 245/50R16s in his 01 Z28.

They're not so fun to drive on when it gets real cold outside but seeing as you're in SC that shouldn't be much of a problem for you.

I also ran many 8.30's and 1 8.29 on 225/60/15 Goodyear Gatorbacks with 2.0 60fts. But my best 60fts were on BFG 235/60's doing many 1.90 60fts but I still had the stk chip in so it only did 8.50's......track prep is crucial, were u gettin any wheel spin?

the first pass I got a lot of spin......off the line.....ran 13.2...2nd pass I left a little lighter...my buddy in the stands said i spun a little but I did not feel it:confused: ......that was the 12.9 run......I'm gonna search out some tires tomorrow.....best part of the story, I smashed I 5.0 mustang that was spraying!.....we were bumper to bumper till the 8th then it was over...I thought it let off since he was so far back but my friends said he was steady banging gears trying to catch me.

side note: I beat the same car 3 months ago by 1 car length...this night he saw me ask if I wanted to run it said "sure, you done anything else to it" said yep 150 shot...I said ok.....did not say I added a new turbo and chip:D ......

That was funny!

Congrats on running your number.
You have alot of go fast parts and even with that not great 60' you should be able to go much faster. I have got 1.7s on BFGs 235s. Plenty of people run into the low 12s/high 11s on a 26" tire. Many slow down if they go to 28" tire so for now I would try different things with pressure/burnout/launch boost unless they are totally worn out. What boost are you leaving at? What boost do you run? With 120k on the engine, have you done valve springs and/or timing gears?
Post your log of the run if you have it.

1.7 on the street tire or the Drag Radial?

with a 1.7 60 foot or a 1.6 that is .60 difference which equals about 1 to 1.2 seconds of et so you can get a 11.90 at 110 or higher with your setup. dont do investing in a converter. buy some mickeys and put in 18 to 20 psi and have fun. any lower it will cup the tires on a launch and get a smaller patch. i tried 10 and 12 and got a 1.9 60 then i raised it to 20 psi and got a 1.6
