Fan stays on.

Just bought my first GN, an 87. I'll have a few questions, I'm sure but the one for now is that my radiator fan comes on when I turn on the key - before the engine even starts. And it keeps running after the engine starts even when cold. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

IT is your fan delay relay it is the biggest of the 3 relays on the drivers side inner fender right by the windshield washer fluid bottle, what happens is it gets wet from rain and isn't protected from any moisture. Kirbanperformanceproducts.com has them

If it turns off after 10 minutes or so, then it was probably grounded by the previous owner for continuous operation. Does it turn off?
