I am installing a new electrical auto meter water temp gauge into my car. Can I tap right into the water temp sensor on the front of the engine or will that not work? Thanks in advance

You've got to use the sender that came with the gauge. They all have different resistance ranges, and the stock senders wont work with aftermarket gauges.
