do you have to worry about smog? Cause it wont pass smog if you cut out the EGR unless you pay a little extra. The EGR thingy dose block some air flow to your front 2 cylnders in the intake manifold causing them to run a little lean. If you take it out you will have to weld up the hole and smooth the rest out. I would not recomend removing it by your self if you dont know what your doing. Cutting too much or too little can cause your car to not run as well. My best advice is If your going to have the egr thingy cut out of the manifold take it to sombody that knows how to port a manifold and has a flow bench
