Does anyone know if I can get this clip at any parts store ?

I attempted to install AN lines this weekend but noticed this one particular fitting at fuel sender unit was kinda loose . I attempted to push it but it’s not tight enough . I can pull it out easily . Or is that the way it is ?

This is the clip I need . I tried to squeeze it tighter but didn’t hold the fitting that good . Was still loose and can come out with a little force

The problem may not be the clip but the line on the sending unit. The clip has to fit behind the lip on the sending unit tube.

The sending unit is fairly new . As you can see in the picture the bead is solid .
Don’t know ??

Can you use a flat file and take about 1/16 inch off the mouth of the tube?

I mean it fits on the line nice . The clip is behind the grove . But by tugging it a little , it comes right off . I thinking I might get another type of fitting ...

Looks like the same clip on most GM transmission cooler line fittings where they go into the radiator.

Maybe these.

Oh in that case it is something else.
Either the “ramp” is not steep enough or the clip is not strong enough

I don't think the clip is strong enough.
It's not the strength of the clip but the shape of the clip. If the tabs on the clip don't extend far enough through the fitting it won't hold. They have to extend far enough so they contact the tube behind the lip on the tube.
