I have a question about dyno tuning.

Say I have a bunch of stuff done to my car and I want to have it dyno tuned. Do I just goto my nearest dyno place, fork over some cash and ask them to dyno tune my car for me?

How does dyno tuning work?

Anyone ever have it done before?

Best bet is to wait for a local "dyno day."

Dyno. tuning usually is about $150 an hour or so.

Dyno. days prolly $75-$85 for 3 pulls with a wideband O2 sensor to use for data. Volume discount helps.

Well I do not know how your PCM works .. . you'll probably need someone to burn a chip or 2 for you. What we normally do is program the PCM from past experiences (ie we use the same cam most of the time) and make a run, and keep making edits and runs until the A/F is perfect. This is for late model cars but the same idea applies to your car...but instead of flashing the PCM they'd problably have to reburn a chip.

With my WE4 the chip is pretty right on and all I do is mess with the FPR or the MAFT a little bit.

How far away from Columbus are you?

Best dyno in Ohio is www.dynotunemotorsports.com give Brian a call and ask how he does tuning. Him and his dad are both good guys and take very nice care of you and the car.
