Drag race launch technique suggestions

I'm fairly new to the TB cars and the whole turbo/boost thing. What is the best launch technique on a basically stock 87 GN with regular street tires, to turn the best times? Does it cause any issues to hold the break and build a couple pounds of boost?

Nothing wrong with holding the brakes and building boost. How much boost depends on how good of tires you have and how much your brake system setup can hold?

As for best technique, everyone has their opinion. Find out what works best for your car. Personally I like for boost to be ramping up when I launch rather than hold say 5-10 pounds steady.
