Always wanted to try this, because every bone yard I visit you see them in practically everything from the '70 GM cars. Would love to emulate the twin turbo 2JZ with one, and have people scratching their heads at the car shows...

can be done for fairly cheap w/blowthru carb design when comparing to going w/fuel injection.

I can tell you that in Brazil its fairly common to see turbo'd chevy I-6's. I recently got my hands on some magazines from Brazil and each one had drag cars in it with chevy strait six's that were turbo.

On a side note here evilbay has got some interesting parts for the chevy inline 6's on it right now. Thee's even a tunnel ram intake for one right now. It would be interesting to see someone do either a blow through or draw through on that intake.

Cool stuff! I need more money and time to play with stuff like that! :)

Well you just missed a dual carb intake that would've made a perfect twin turbo set up. It was old but made for 2 two barrels so it would be prefect for 2 B4black set ups.

Just got done throwing my old turbo onto my friend's nova last month. Draw through set up. Probably took us 18 hours total work. Super easy.

If you get a chance can you post more info on the setup & combo.

Sweet buildup of the turbo headers needed...

The combo for the Nova I posted is as follows:

Stock 1977 smog inline 250ci. (Stock is ~8.5:1)

T04B V-Trim (55.4mm inducer, supports up to roughly 450hp)

Draw through with a 650 Vacuum Seconday Holley

3in DP

Single 2.25in exhaust feeding the turbo from the stock exhaust manifold

Th400 stock stall

Its just a stock car with a turbo on it really. We've only ran 8psi w/ 14degree timing so far but its much more powerful than stock with just that small amount of boost. Goals are to throw an alky kit and crank it up. Drivability is decreased with the use of the draw through, namely with a hesitation any time the throttle is pressed.

The hesitation is 2 things working against you. The size of the turbo in relation to converter. Get a higher stall and then the lag will go away. :)

Here's the dual carb intake I thought would be perfect for a twin turbo draw through system. Ellis twin carb intake.jpg
