Difficulty Buying Appliances

It is such a crap shoot to buy a home appliance. I am looking for a new dishwasher in the $500-$700 range. Went to Consumer Reports first but am reluctant to use their advice since I bought one of their recommended front load washer and dryers and it was CRAP! Looked at the different sites and read the customer reviews and it makes you think its a total crap shoot on getting a good/decent item. Any suggestions here on a good Brand/Model of dishwasher to look at?

Consumer reports sucks!!! Call your local appliance repair place and ask them what they see a lot of whats easy vs hard/expensive to fix and get parts for.....

If you can afford a Bosch they are very good and quiet too.

Well made etc.

If you can't like me just get your buddies 3 year old Whirlpool with a leaky tank, that he just replaced with the Bosch, and use some marine caulk on it and run it for FREE. :biggrin:

His wife picked out the Whirlpool, he picked out the Bosch this time.

They make good orbital sanders too!
