Dead, Please Help!!!!!

while driving my 87 gn to work today it stalled out at a stop sign(this is a intermittent problem) but upon trying to restart the car would not turn over,i did hear the starter clicking but it wouldnt kick over,my amp gauge is disconneted but my radio and headlights were bright. i waited a few mins then it turned over barely but enough to start,now it runs like a bucket of smashed *******s, sounds like a misfire,no mil,havent dug into it yet,i got it to my work at least, i will be able to look it at lunch so any idea of what to look for or any other similar stories with solutions would be the ****....thanks

no battery ground will make the lights work and the car not start.
My bolt actually fell out at the track on my 86 regal, fixed the ground and would start.

Yours starts, but slow, still seem like bad ground
