Custom Rim Sizes

I was thinking of having custom rims made.
I wanted to run 17*X on the front and 18*x on the back
I was thinking 17X8's an 18X10's
Has anyone ran these? What Back Spacing?
I wanted to run 295/45/18 on the rear

I think the P295/45R18 will be too tall.

I have 20x8 all around with 4" backspacing. I run P275/35R20 on the rear and there 27" tall. Unless your looking for a 28.5" tall tire then use the 295's.

17s will , 18s should.--rubrman- thats gotta be one hard arse ride, but very nicely detailed! Too much rim for my tastes.

I'm trying to get rims to fit 13" brakes And trying to get the tallest widest tire that will fit in the rear.
Any ideas are welcome. again the rims will be custom,so I can run any backspace.

i would go with a 9.5" rim with 4.75" backspace- should work very well like my friend put on his car.

18X9.5 w/4.75 BS Rear

Now what tire do you like?
Not many to pick from in 18"
I wanted to run a 28" tire if possible in the rear.
But nothing is set in stone yet.

Thats what will fit without major mods. I run 18" wheel set up and I like it. I run a 295 35 18 in the rear. they are Toyo Proxes T1-S tires and I'm happy so far. There are pics in my sig if you haven't seen my car yet.

I want to make my GN more up to date as far as handling and stopping. It's already got the 0-60 and 1/4 covered.

I assume your talking to me, right? The wheels are Simmons OM series, 18x8.5 , -7mm offset w/245 40 18's in front and 18x9.5 , -13mm offset w/295 35 18's out back. the front is droped with Belltech 2" spindles and QA1 coil over kit and the rear is Belltech 1.5 springs and QA1 adj. shocks.

Its not notched but I have trimmed the wheel opening back to the screw heads for the fender trim.
