I have a 5-disk 3200 Vigilante converter and when trying to keep a steady 60mph the converter locks/unlocks frequently. It feels almost like it is downshifting. What gives?

If the trans has never been opened up, I would start with that. I've also seen the pressure switch break, wire ground out on the valve body. Need to drop the pan, have a look. Phil.

Trans was built roughly 8 years ago but only has around 5k miles. Level 2 built by Jimmy's (allegedly 2004r specialists)

Make sure that the switches at the brake pedal are adjusted correctly. One of them supplies +12 volts to the TCC solenoid. Which goes open when the pedal is depressed (forces TCC to unlock).

Any article or tips on adjusting the pedal switches? I've been banging around in the area quite a bit lately with the hydroboost conversion, although I believe it was doing it before the conversion also.

Basically, hold the brake pedal up against the stop and push/twist the switches toward the pedal arm. The solid area of the switch neck goes up against the brake pedal arm.

Also, what temperature does the car run at? If the thermostat is stuck open it will do the same thing if its overcooling. I forget the exact temp but the ecm commands it to lockup after it reaches 150ish degrees. If youre overcooling it will lock and unlock as the coolant temp swings up and down.

Car runs a consistent 185* by the scanmaster/Powerlogger. Has a 190 thermostat in it.
