I have a 1984 Buick Regal T-Type. The motor was completely rebuilt and put back in the car. All the sensors except the throttle position sensor and the knock sensor have been changed. The throttle position sensor and the knock sensor have been checked out and are good. The security light is flashing constantly whether the door is open or closed. It is very hard to turn the key when put in the door lock. I don't know if there is anything associated with this or not. The engine will turn over, but will not fire. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have been trying to start this car for months!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first thing to check is if the plugs are firing.
Go backwards from there.
Is there any fuel pressure?
Etc., Etc, Etc.......

make sure crank,and cam sensor are plugged in. And make sure orange ecm wire is connected at the battery. getting fuel pressure?

security light or ses (check engine) light
if security is flashing the system is activating the relay to prevent starter solenoid engagement , it doesnt defeat the ecm , that light is not your issue because you claim it cranks , unless you have some other security system than OE in which case you are on your own to figure it out or get to someone who can
if when the key is turned on its the ses is flashing rapidly then the chip or ecm is bad and the car wont start because the ecm is non functional . with key on the ses light needs to be on steady
thing to check , did you make sure the crank sensor is installed so the end slot on sensor is the one that the reluctor ring on the balancer passes through it , and is it plugged in
cam sensor also needs to be dropped in correctly , see www.vortexbuicks-etc.com for the procedure to set it
is the injector harness plugged in under the coil pack
any blown fuses inside the car
does the fuel pump run , do you have pressure at the fuel rail 42psi or so
gas in the tank ?
