My fellow Missourians, I am in need of your assistance. I am looking for a reliable machine shop in Missouri that can install block girdles on both 3.8 and 455 Buick engines. Also machine shop must be able to offset machine 455 crankshaft for stroker application. Thanks in advance for your help.

ElectraJim has used Phase 2 for a 455 buildup.

I've had numerous friends use Phase 2 with nothing but excellent results.
Not Buick projects, but their machine work was spot-on.

So far so good with my 455. Excellent oil pressure, and everything else
from Phase 2 Machine shop.
I certainly will have my V6 done by them when the time comes.

They LISTEN to what you want and always answer the phone when you call.

They do more than GM stuff too. I've seen some crazy looking parts in their
shop.

Just tell them ElectraJim sent ya!

I personally saw a fe Buick V8s go through the shop while i was working there. Doug does amazing work and has produced some amazing results out of the customer's cars. I already have one engine being built at the shop and wouldn't take it anywhere else.

AMT drags their feet, but I guess a lot of shops are known to do that sometimes. It could have been their "busy time" of the year too.
You never get to see what goes on behind "their curtains" there either like
you can at Phase II.
They have warnings posted on their door about if it's locked or after hours, don't bother us, or something silly like that.

I had my first 455 engine built by AMT years ago, and a buddy of mine gets his done there too.
Customer service wasn't even close to Phase II.

Never got a warm fuzzy feeling when I talked to or visited AMT.

Did I mention, his engine had to go back to AMT for problems?

On the other hand, its results that count. Right?

Just my opinion.
