Hope to get into the high to mid 11s so I just added some bolt on upgrades to my 87 T-Type. I also decided to install a Transgo re-programmer to the stock 2004r. By the way the have horrible instructions with the kit. While doing so I found that the 1-2 accumulator spring was broken in half, probably the reason the car had a very poor 1-2 shift, the main reason I was doing this to the trans in the first place. So I was please I had found something wrong. Completed Friday the 8th after coming home from a long day a work. So I put the car in reverse and backed out of the driveway into the street put the car in drive and went out for test drive slowly letting the car shift itself. About a mile away for home I decided I felt comfortable to get into the throttle and see how the shifts felt. I was please the first 3 to 4 times and I had felt like I had accomplished what I set out to do ....until the 5th time when under full throttle it felt like someone had just cut the drive shaft in half. I did not hear any noises just the engine rpm rising as if I went into neutral. Lucky for me I was able to coast within a quarter mile from home where I walked to get truck and trailer. I am not a trans expert nor do I want to have trans rebuilt if I can avoid it right now. What, if any, are the know problems and can I (not a trans expert) accomplish fixing them? I was thinking input shaft?
Thanks for any help you may have.
