Just got a 97 Regal Sport Coupe, what is the box that's mounted on the fan shroud that says turbo? Mine looks like something melted out of it.

That is the potting material around the electronics in the module. I have seen this happen on original coil packs on 86/87 turbo cars.
No fix for it, haven't seen one of those for some time.

I'm trying to find out what the box is so I can get a new one. I've been searching on the web but no luck.
