Blowing fuses!!

Instrument dash lights

This little mishap started yesterday.......I noticed when driving home when I cut the light on......No instrument panel lights!!!! Hit the lights off and the dash boost gauge lights up....replace the fuse turn the lights on and it blows another fuse....Could wires be touching somewhere???? Anybody know about this??

Do you have an aftermarket stereo in the car?



if you have an aftermarket stereo,check and make sure the light wire(fortgot the color--maybe brown--behind the stereo is taped off good and not touching something.



could also be the interior light dimmer(that switch will go bad),

Check the console light if you have one for the shifter.

Wire can pull out of the housing and short on the metal there and ground out.
