Black Hawk Crash Kills Six in Afghanistan

Is it just me or does it seem like the BlackHawk has a LOT of accidents? Either get the old Hueys back out or design another chopper:mad:

Blackhawks have had problems with their T700 engines in the past, but it seems most crashes are caused by the speed they fly and the proximity to the ground.

Also, some models of the blackhawk are now 25 years old (it entered service in 1978)

ther are no problems with the aircraft, it is reliable, and chinooks and apaches fly faster and lower, it has to do with the numbers and flight techniques, first theay the mos widly used helicopter, ther are variations from the uh-60, the mh-60, hh-60 and sea hawk, ther numbers in use are staggering, they replaced the huey so you can see there are lots, while other helicopters do the same missions, the single rotor design can be tricky in brown out conditions, they are sent out more frequently in poor conditions due there small size, they will go on a medevac before a hook, and they are percieved as a high performance helicopter, and chinooks are percieved as the school buss, when infact the chinook is better in all flight profile cercimstances , but the mentallity leads it self to flying outside the mission envelope and then accidents happen, but number in service is the biggest thing.
