Biggie Oil Filter Question

I just got my "biggie oil filter adaptor" today and i was wondering if all i had to do was put this adaptor on and screw a big oil filter on top of it. Will everything seal up right or do i need something else to make this system work?

You need to remove the old oil filter adapter and install this new one. The old one's hex part is larger than 1" but smaller than 1.25". I happened to have a 1.25" socket and it worked fine on the stock one. Also I couldn't seem to get the larger filter in from the bottom, I had to lower it from the top then when it got to the right position I screwed it in from the bottom.
