Baileys two step

I have a baileys two step on my car. I use a manual transbrake and I have the two step activated by a microswitch. For some reason it will not activate my two step even by bypassing the microswitch and hooking wires directly together. I have also tried changing the rpm inside the box to see if it would activate at different rpms. Any idea what could be this issue? Thanks

please describe exactly how the trigger wires are connected, and what the 2 LEDs are doing inside the unit.

I have the gray and brown wires wired together going to the switch and a hot wire going to the switch. The run light stays on. The trig light comes on once the brown and the gray wire Recieve power from the hot wire or when the switch is on. But it will not limit the rpm at what my trig rpm switches are set to. It has worked in the past and one day just stopped.

when you reach the trigger RPM does the trig light blink? have you changed anything on the car?

Bob

Haven't noticed it blink once it hits the desired rpm. I've put on a ignition module 19260720 Ac delco. And installed a torque converter.

do you have your original module? try turning down the triggered RPM, see if you can get the limit LED to blink.

I'm sorry it's been a long time since I had the issue and just had time now to try and fix it. I do remember it worked after installing the new module. I will try tomorrow and see if I can get it to flash the trig rpm led. Thanks!

I went back and read my Facebook messages to you back in April. It happened right after I got the new Scanmaster G installed. There was about a month period that the car sat after I sold my original Scanmaster while I was waiting on the Scanmaster G. After getting the Scanmaster installed I tested the two step and found this issue.

sorry just getting back to you. The trig led will
Light up when switch is engaged but will not flash when reaching desired rpm.

is the run led coming on? how are the switches set? The run light indicates that its receiving an RPM signal, so it should limit.

try setting the main limit setting low, and see if the limiter will hit that.
